Hi, I'm Taline
A warm, curious language lover who teaches English online with patience, energy, and a deep respect for every student's journey.

Languages, travel, and human connection
I'm Swiss with Lebanese and Belgian roots, and I grew up in international Geneva. I started speaking English almost at the same time as French, and it remains the language I use the most and feel most at home in — which is also why I love teaching it.
I have 10+ years of diverse professional experience in capacity building, international humanitarian law and human rights. I've lived in Latin America, Africa and the Middle East, and travelled across the world.
I studied international law and spent several years working in international humanitarian law, human rights, and the protection of civilians in armed conflict. Alongside that, I've been fluent in Spanish for years and work with German, Arabic, and Portuguese speakers too.
I love travelling, discovering new places, and being welcomed by the people who live there. That curiosity about cultures is something I bring into every lesson — because learning a language is also about understanding the people who speak it.
Years of teaching, training and capacity building
Explaining complex ideas clearly, in a second or third language, to very different audiences — that is exactly the skill I bring to your English lessons.
Trainings on IHL and human rights
Several years of capacity building: designing and delivering high-quality workshops and trainings on international humanitarian law, the laws of war, human rights and the protection of civilians — for NGOs, universities, governmental authorities and military audiences across several countries, continents and languages, sometimes as a facilitator.
High-level international trainings
Organising and delivering high-level trainings for participants from all over the world and from every professional sector, and delivering two-hour sessions on IHL and humanitarian action to visiting schools and universities from different countries.
From étude surveillée to legal & business English
From supervising étude surveillée — after-school study periods from 4:30 to 6:00 pm where one supervisor supports a class of around 20 middle-school students with their homework — to teaching newly arrived refugees in Berlin from all over the world, to private in-person lessons, and now fully online adapted sessions in general, business, legal English and exam preparation.

How I teach
Warmth and respect
I believe the best learning happens when students feel safe. I'm patient, encouraging, and never judgmental.
Communication first
We focus on what you actually want to say. Grammar and vocabulary support real communication, not the other way around.
Fully adapted
Your objectives, your level, your pace, your interests. No two lessons are exactly the same.
